We have been working on some long range straightwall 45's and the solution for hunters in those states is here. The PVA reamer for 450 Bushmaster uses a standard body and specialty throat for optimized accuracy from factory and hand loaded ammunition. We have been tweaking and improving this setup for several years (since PA went Straight Wall) and we have a conversion barrel for folks that turns your 0.473 bolt face action into a straight walled hammer for hunting in those "special states"
We use Lothar Walther 45 caliber blanks with 1:16 twist for heavy bullets.
All barrels are stress relieved, lapped, 416R stainless.
All are produced in our proprietary cutting process that creates extremely repeatable rifle barrels.
450 BM Factory ammo suggestion: Hornady BLACK 250 FTX, consistently sub MOA for 3 rounds at 400 yards
Hand load suggestion:
Hornady brass, Hornady 250 FTX, and H110.
Hornady brass, ASG 275 or 300 NSR, and H110. This particular combination is sub MOA to 650 yards consistently and absolutely flattens the biggest whitetails in North America.
