Muzzle Thread Protectors - 5/8x24 Threads

Product Description

This product is as straightforward as it seems.  The muzzle thread protector does exactly what the name implies: it protects the precision cut threads on the front of your rifle barrel from damage.

The cap is 5/8" long and comes with a partial length hex cut onto the front end for ease of use.

The cap material is 416 stainless just like the majority of precision rifle barrels on the market (all of our prefit barrels are 416 stainless).

We cut this cap out of solid bar and every piece is CNC cut, including the threads, hex flats and it is deburred in the machine to ensure the most consistent piece possible.

It is important to note that these caps should be used with thread lubricant such as Anti-Seize, M14 grease, gun grease, etc.  Do not use these on unlubricated or dirty threads.

Outside diameter and corresponding hex size (distance across flats) is listed below, all have 5/8x24 threads :

0.925" x 7/8" hex (this fits Heavy Palma barrels, also works well for MTU)

0.900 x 13/16" hex (this fits M24 barrels)

0.875 x 13/16 hex (this fits Marksman and Whitley Palma barrels)

0.825 x 3/4 hex (this fits Medium Palma barrels)

0.750 x 11/16 hex (this fits Light Palma barrels)

Please note that these are not designed to be seamless thread protectors.  All dimensions listed are +/-0.005" except as otherwise noted.
