Pre-fit match barrels are the way of the future and PVA has been a fundamental driver of the market in Prefits since 2014. We have streamlined the ordering process to make it easy, quick and organized.
Our match prefits have been winning matches, setting records and harvesting game for years. The easier it becomes for shooters to use them the better everyone is.
These barrels are the award winning, PVA exclusive, micro-honed, lapped, 416RR Barrels from Osprey Barrel Works (click HERE for more about Osprey Barrel Works).
They are all stainless and exceptionally high quality blanks that we contour in house using a proprietary process.
All OBW 6.5mm Barrels are 1:7.5tw 0.256 bore barrels for the best performance with the heaviest jacketed bullets and the modern, high performance solid bullets. The 7.5tw provides extra RPM necessary to stabilize the heaviest, longest jacketed bullets out at extreme distances but it's not too fast that it will cause problems shooting lighter bullets like 120-135 class either. It's a good balance of overall performance for a broad range of chambering options.

Prefit barrel
Barrel fit and headspace was perfect. The throat cleaned up easily due to pva polishing the chamber before delivery. In process of dialing in a load for it now. Very satisfied.

Absolute hammer!!!
Shot my first clean at a 600 yard F-Class match on Dec 30th, 2022 at the Burbank Rifle and Revolver Club match. It was the first string of 20 on the barrel’s first outing since I twisted it on and broke it in with a 100 rounds at the range. Shot a 200-10x. What a fantastic result. Mind you, this was a 28” Proof Competition Contour Osprey barrel shoulder prefit for a stock Tikka action on a KRG Whiskey 3 chassis that I assembled myself. So not a custom gunsmith built setup. These are great barrels.

6.5 Prefit Barrel
Previous purchase was a shorter and decrease profile. Very satisfied w/ performance. New barrel received is longer with increased profile. Consistent performance at or beyond 1K yds w/ heavy loads. Will entertain/ likely purchase larger caliber barrel for new 7mm build.

Hammer Time
My 26" M24 contour PVA Tikka prefit is almost at the end of its life at the 2,000 round mark after yesterday's range session. Even at 2k rounds it's still hammering out groups below 1/2 MOA on paper and in its prime was consistently printing groups in the .3s. Velocity is still strong and I'm getting single digit SDs as well. Accuracy out to distance hasn't changed much at all either. Couldn't be happier with this barrel.
