Osprey AR-10 barrels are here!
Options available are 20, 22 and 24" finished lengths with 0.875" gas boss diameters. All barrels come standard with 5/8-24 muzzle threads. Barrels come with an alignment mark under the gas port for easy assembly.
As usual with all the Osprey pre-fits these are honed and lapped, double normalized (stress relieved) stainless and 100% CNC machined. For accuracy reasons we recommend clamp on style gas blocks, not set screw style. The gas port sizes are setup for optimal performance with unsuppressed systems. If using a suppressor it is recommended that an adjustable gas block or adjustable gas key be installed to aid in tuning the rifle system.
All gas systems in the 6.5mm Series are Rifle+2 Length with 1:7.5tw barrels.
As shown, all AR10 barrels come with muzzle threads and the JP Enterprises barrel extension with the JP High Pressure bolt and small diameter firing pin. Since we've decided to put these items into the package as the standard option set we have also included that each barrel package comes as "Matched Bolt". The difference isn't much, but it's worthwhile. We use the HP bolt and firing pin because it helps with using small rifle primer brass and slower burning powders, even in the 308 Win.
If a customer wishes to order a barrel without muzzle threads due to local restrictions it can be special ordered, there will not be a price difference.
