Product Description
In WWII the British Military had 303 Enfields that were converted to 45acp and integrally suppressed. These were known as "DeLisle Carbines". A historically accurate, transferrable example is extremely costly these days and copies are few and far between.
As a functional platform they're a lot of fun and cost effective "plinking" guns as well as excellent pest control rifles; quiet, accurate, cheap to feed, and no recoil... but they're not quite a easy to create as some action makers have advertised and the shortcomings are twofold: mag feeding and ejection.
Mag kits fix the first issue entirely. This barrel conversion is nearly as easy so long as the action used has an inertial-type ejector like a Kelbly's, American Rifle Co, Bighorn, etc. Plunger ejectors like a Remington, Savage, etc will not eject cleanly and properly.
The PVA barrel drop in prefit is available with and without muzzle threads and comes with (1) AICS 10rd mag kit included. The mag body is AICS 10rd mags with the binder plate, the SKU is 3902
Other options will come in the future as development continues. The magazine body is not included for the price. The kit does not require permanent changes to the mag body typically, sometimes users will need minor tweaking to the feed lips.
The barrel blanks currently used are Lothar Walther stainless blanks, lapped and stress relieved. Standard 45 ACP muzzle threads for 45 cans are 37/64-28 (sometimes called 0.578-28) and the discount for shorter barrels is because we can make 2 barrels for 1 full size blank. All barrels are 1:16 twist which has proven to shoot 230 ball at subsonic speeds with excellent accuracy. Please keep in mind that pistol ammo and pistol bullets are not created like match rifle brass and bullets so expected accuracy is good, but sub MOA is near impossible to achieve just due to the quality of components available on the market.
