Barrel Fluting Service:
PVA Barrel fluting service is performed in a flood cooled CNC process to maximize the weight reduction and surface finish in the flute.
Services currently include straight, right and left spiral, and diamond fluting.
Heavy contour match barrels such as M24, MTU, Proof Competition typically see 14-16oz of weight reduction for a 6 or 7 flute arrangement. Lighter contours for hunting patterns are lower due to the reduced depth at which the flutes can be cut. They typically see 8-10oz for a 26" long #4 fluted to finish at 26" length.
Lead time on fluting is 2-4 weeks. Cerakote can be added before or after fluting at your discretion. Due to the accuracy concerns and liability we do not flute factory rifle barrels.
