Product Description
Barrel nuts are an often overlooked necessity of the home-shop rifle assembler. We at PVA strive to produce the finest rifle barrels available anywhere on the market for every action. Since a solid barrel needs a well made, true nut to lock it onto the receiver we decided it was time to make one. All of our barrel nuts are machined from solid bar stock in a multi-process machining center so that they come off the machine complete. The mating surface and thread axis are as true as a laser-aligned, CNC machine can make them. Basically, they're perfect.
Our barrel nuts do not require special tools or proprietary wrenches (that always seem to cost more than the barrel nut itself). These nuts use any crescent wrench to tighten them up. This minimizes the chances of scratching the barrel finish by sliding a wrench over the barrel onto the nut as well as providing substantially larger contact areas on the nut to reduce the chance of damaging the nut during installation/removal.
We cover all the popular sizes of barrel tenon thread patterns for shooters that like to do their own gunsmithing and armorer's work at home.
1-1/16" pattern in 16, 18 and 20 tpi
26mm x 1.5mm metric (Howa 1500 pattern)
27mm x 1.5mm metric (Sako TRG)
27mm x 2.0mm metric (Accuracy International)
The AI & Sako barrel nuts are specifically designed for customers that want to convert their aging AIAE rifles to an easy change barrel type using the American Rifle Company BarLoc system. They can be used with or without the BarLoc and our match-winning replacement barrels!
Recommended installation torque is 45-60ftlbs.
Users MUST take care to be sure the barrel tenon threads are free of dirt and debris as well as being well lubricated prior to assembly.
We use and recommend any of the following thread lubricants for this product:
Anti-Sieze products either copper or nickel based.
Lubriplate 130-A grease (commonly known as M1A grease)
Others are avaiable and functional but we know these products to work well.

PVA Savage Barrel Nut
Looks great, and easy to use with a standard 1.25” wrench. It does require some minor inletting if using a factory stock.

Barrel nut remage
That good that I've purchased 3 , two for savage and now a remage. Can't beat the 1 1/4 inch drive, no special wrenches.

Great Barrel Nut
This is a great barrel nut, the threading is nice and smooth and are class 3. The face that contacts the receiver is nice and smooth and is perpendicular to the threading. The finish is nice and smooth and free of tool marks. I will be buying more of these in the future. Definitely worth buying.

Excellent Barrel Nut
I've used PVA barrel nuts on two rifles and very pleased with them. High quality finish (black), perfect fit and easy to install using a crow's foot and torque wrench. Have not had any problems with either installation and the nuts have held up well. Overall, an exceptional product.

Great Product
I highly recommend the PVA barrel nut. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a box wrench that properly matched the nut, so I had to use a crescent wrench. I secured mine on to the barrel with red Loctite, so now I treat it like a shouldered barrel. Keep up the great work!

Excellent fit and finish
Excellent barrel nut with enough thickness to confidently torque properly. Nice that it doesn't require any special tools and the flats are broad enough so that a wrench won't slip. I used a crows foot wrench along with a torque wrench. The shape and contour look nice on the barrel, too.

This is the perfect barrel nut for my Bighorn Origin. Just need 1.25 crow foot and 1/2 torque wrench or a crescent if you had to. No special tools needed.
