In an ever-continuing effort to constantly push the state of the art in precision rifle technology, Osprey Barrel works is proud to announce the Titanium Lightweight option. The heart of this product's performance is the supremely accurate Osprey Blank; a double stress relieved, honed and lapped, CReS (stainless) blank. The contoured blank is then fitted with a Titanium sleeve and pre-tensioned to strain-stiffen the core of the barrel and increase the overall stiffness with minimal addition to the core weight.
These barrels are easily light enough to be the gold standard on a Mountain Rifle with the long-string performance needed for competitions like NRL Hunter and PRS applications.
All muzzles come precision threaded 5/8-24 with an 11 degree target crown. Gunsmithing is only required on the breech to fit the barrel to a receiver and be ready to shoot. Cerakote application is approved with the exception of the muzzle threads and crown.
Typical lead time for in-stock cores is 7-10 working days for shipment.

- Contour: 1.20 OD shank for 2.5", taper from 1.20 to 1.0 at 4.5" from breech, 1.0" to muzzle shoulder.
- Blank Length/Weight: 26" 224 3lb , estimate 1.1oz per inch shorter than 26" (IE 20" long is 6*1.2oz ~6.5oz lighter)

- All muzzles come 5/8-24 Class 2A threads with an 11 degree target crown.
- Do not use crush washers on muzzle devices, if the device is not "self timing" use shims.
- Muzzle device torque shall not exceed 32ftlb
- Do not attempt to disassemble the barrel tension collar (muzzle collar), this will void any warranty support.
- Do Not clamp on the Titanium sleeve.
