Product Description
Building on the success of the self-timing Jet Blast brakes we have developed a self-timing, improved recoil reduction mount for the Rugged series of suppressors. It brings a welcome addition to the line of brakes known for excellent recoil reduction, easy installation, and excellent manufacturing quality. The "Jet Blast" ports are optimized for precision rifles and approved for use up to 300 Win Mag to reduce recoil, aid in precision and shootability, ease of install and do it all without directing muzzle blast back onto the shooter because the rearward angle is optimized to "shadow" the shooter. This is accomplished by using our new patent-pending "Blast Shadow" ports. The new mount increases recoil reduction with the suppressor mounted by over 2 times and in free air the performance increase is nearly 3-fold.
The mount uses the same locking collar approach that is found on our other brakes and includes part interchangeability with the "Jet Blast".
The mount uses a threaded collar in order to index the muzzle brake without additional machining work required on each barrel. It is also not 1-time use like other machine-timed brakes but rather can be used barrel after barrel after barrel, saving shooters significant money on each subsequent barrel that they purchase.
It is necesssary the brake uses a 15/16" and 3/4" wrench to snug into place and does not need any thread locking agents to maintain position firmly locked to the end of the barrel for thousands of rounds of use. We recommend 108-120 inlb torque on the mount to keep it in place over a lifetime of use.
Standard sizes include the following below. Start by clicking on the thread pattern, then the aperture size and finally the surface finish to see the stock status and choose your brake.
- 5/8-24 with 6.5mm aperture (Black Nitride only)
- 5/8-24 with 30cal aperture (Black Nitride only)
The Jet Blast is 1" OD x 3.1" long and accepts up to 0.8" of thread engagement on the muzzle.

Great Brake & Mount
Very effective brake on top of being a suppressor mount. Rolled the dice on one of these and have picked up two more since. No complaints!

Awesome Mount
Self-timing is worth it's weight in gold. I have multiple weapons I like to host my suppressors on, and this allows me to easily switch weapons/mounts and use my units across multiple platforms easily.

Top Notch Mount
I own (2) of these mounts. One is on an 6.5 CM custom gas-gun and the other is on my very expensive custom PRS gun also in 6.5 CM. The brake when used un-suppressed is excellent an in the same realm as PVA's well-respected brakes. I use a Rugged Razor suppressor on each of these rifles, and being able to go from suppressed to not without having to change the muzzle brake is a blessing...and like I said you get excellent performance from the brake. The brake has the mounting threads for the Razor can milled on the exterior, so you simply thread the can on & off of the brake. With all that said, the self-timing nature of the brake is also incredible. No more shimming or fooling around with crush washers...screw on the brake and time it where you want it, then tighten down the lock-ring and off you go.
