Our hunters asked for it so we made it, the BackCountry brake! The Jetblast and Ultralight Jetblast are fantastic brakes to cut recoil off even the biggest magnum hunting rifles but the size is a little out of place on an otherwise streamlined, high country rifle. The BackCountry takes the features we have all grown to appreciate in the Jetblast and brought it into a slimmer package. The same class leading port geometry, concussion redirecting and blast cancelling shapes are at work in the BackCountry. We shrunk the OD by almost 1/4" to look more at home on a light barreled rifle.
The BackCountry is available in SS or Black Nitride and in 2 aperture sizes to cover the most common range of light barreled magnums on the market. And even though it is made from steel this brake is a scant 2.3 oz so it won't throw off the balance on the lightest of high altitude Sheep rifles.
