Product Description
The "Jet Blast" is the latest addition to Patriot Valley Arms' popular muzzle brake line-up. It brings a welcome addition to the line of brakes known for excellent recoil reduction, easy installation, and excellent manufacturing quality. The "Jet Blast" ports are optimized for precision rifles and approved for use up to 300 Win Mag to reduce recoil, aid in precision and shootability, ease of install and do it all without directing muzzle blast back onto the shooter because the rearward angle is optimized to "shadow" the shooter. This is accomplished by using our new patent-pending "Blast Shadow" ports. Take a look at the snapshots we grabbed during testing, recoil reduction levels over 57% have been measured with this brake!
Our self-timing brakes use a threaded collar in order to index the muzzle brake without additional machining work required on each barrel. It is also not 1-time use like other machine-timed brakes but rather can be used barrel after barrel after barrel, saving shooters significant money on each subsequent barrel that they purchase. It uses the same locking collar approach that is found on our other brakes and includes part interchangeability with the "Mad Scientist".
Users have found excellent performance with simply putting the brakes on by hand without tools however if it is necesssary the brake uses (2) 15/16" wrenches to snug into place and does not need any thread locking agents to maintain position firmly locked to the end of the barrel for thousands of rounds of use. Most shooters elect to simply install it by hand for quick and easy removal when using a suppressor.
Standard sizes include the following below. Start by clicking on the thread pattern, then the aperture size and finally the surface finish to see the stock status and choose your brake.
- 1/2-28 with 6mm aperture (Standard)
- 5/8-24 with 6mm aperture (Black Nitride only)
- 5/8-24 with 6.5mm aperture (Standard)
- 5/8-24 with 30cal aperture (Standard)
- 5/8-24 with 33cal aperture (Black Nitride only)
The Jet Blast is 1" OD x 2.4" long and accepts up to 0.8" of thread engagement on the muzzle.

Jet Blast muzzle brake
Works well. Apparent recoil of 300 PRC less than uncompensated 308 with similar weight rifles.

Love it.
Bought this after talking with Joe for a 6.5 creedmoor brake. Put this on a AR10 build. Performed awesome and looks great on my rilfe.

Toolless install, not mine
Would’ve been nice if the brake didn’t come with the self timing collar so tight that I needed 2 wrenches to get it loose. Claim of toolless install is definitely out the window. PVA Reply: The timing collar is LH thread to avoid it coming lose during use. It is tool-less if you don't accidentally tighten the collar first trying to take it apart.

Jet Blast 5/8x24 .30cal Stainless
Installed the Jet Blast Brake on a Savage 110 Tactical Desert 300 Win Mag. Works Great. A lot less recoil & reduced muzzle jump with no blast in the face. Very Satisfied.

Jet Blast Muzzle Brake
This is my second Jet Blast muzzle brake and I couldn't be happier. There is no better muzzle brake on the market. With my 6.5 Creedmoor I can see the impact and immediately re-engage without losing sight of the target due to muzzle jump, recoil is incredibly less. The perfect brake! Also I don't get hit in the face with the blast because of the excellent positioning of the baffles. Shipping was super fast and Patriot Valley Arms is always a pleasure to deal with. I can recommend them to anyone who asks me about muzzle brakes without hesitation.

First-Rate Brake
I have one each on a 6.5 Creedmoor and a 5.56 AR. The Jet Blast eliminates muzzle jump and it's a piece of cake to spot hits on my own. Felt recoil on the 6.5 is not bad to begin with, but this brake makes that rifle feel like a .22 LR. The fact that installation (and removal) could not be simpler adds to the appeal. I will be adding another for an upcoming build.

The Effective Brake
A very effective brake. I first used mine on my John Hancock Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and found it very effective. Since the JHR was my first experience with thee 6.5 CM I bought a second Jet Blast for my AR10 in 7mm-08. The recoil was virtually non existent after installing the Jet Blast brake. Just for fun I also tried it on a Thompson Compass also chambered in 7mm-08, again, a great reduction in recoil. The Jet Blast does live upto it's name, however for adjacent shooters at the range it gave them a blast of air but not the concussive effect that some brakes deliver.
