The "Jet4" is the latest addition to Patriot Valley Arms' popular muzzle brake line-up. It brings a welcome addition to the line of brakes known for excellent recoil reduction, easy installation, and excellent manufacturing quality. The Jet4 ports are optimized for precision rifles and aid in precision and shoot-ability, ease of install and do it all without directing muzzle blast back onto the shooter because the rearward angle is optimized to "shadow" the shooter. This is accomplished by using our new patent-pending "Blast Shadow" ports. Take a look at the snapshots we grabbed during testing, recoil reduction levels over 64% have been measured with this brake! We accomplished this by using progressively angled port geometry to optimize how the supersonic flow is redirected around the muzzle.
The Jet4 uses the same locking collar approach that is found on our other brakes and includes part interchangeability with the "Mad Scientist" and "Jetblast".
The threaded collar is designed with a left hand thread in order to index the muzzle brake without additional machining work required on each barrel. It is also not 1-time use like other machine-timed brakes but rather can be used barrel after barrel after barrel, saving shooters significant money on each subsequent barrel that they purchase.
Users have found excellent performance with simply putting the brakes on by hand without tools however if it is necessary the brake uses (2) 15/16" wrenches to snug into place and does not need any thread locking agents to maintain position firmly locked to the end of the barrel for thousands of rounds of use. Most shooters elect to simply install it by hand for quick and easy removal when using a suppressor.
Standard sizes include the following below. This brake was designed with the competitive shooter in mind and therefore only comes in black nitride for maximized brake lifetime.
- 5/8-24 with 6.5mm aperture (Black Nitride only)
- 5/8-24 with 30cal aperture (Black Nitride only)
The Jet Blast is 1" OD x 3.1" long and accepts up to 0.8" of thread engagement on the muzzle.
Weight: 3.7 oz
The brake is rated up through 55gr of gunpowder in a 26" barrel or 45gr of gunpowder in a 22" barrel.

Jet4 muzzle brake
I recently purchased the Aero Solus in .308 to get into PRS. The 308 has a lot of recoil and I couldn’t follow through with each shot until I added the Jet4. There’s a lot of other brakes on the market, but for the price I wanted to try it. I’m really happy I did. Made a huge difference, and the muzzle report isn’t bad at all. The machining and finish are top notch.

Broken brake
Brake broke on the first shot and couldn’t return it. PVA Reply: Customer used the brake on a cartridge much larger than approved for this design per product description. We offered a 50% off certificate towards the proper magnum brake. Customer declined.

Jet4 Muzzle Brake
Really impressed with the reduced recoil from the Jet4 brake. It really improved getting back on target quickly when shooting long range, and fit n finish is excellent.

One of the Best I have ever owned
I have used several different brakes over the past 7 years. I have had good ones and bad ones and ones that are in the middle. I have never though owned a brake that is this good. The recoil management allows for easy and quick follow up shots, able to see the shot hit the target and is just a pleasure to shot with. The ports are exactly how they are described. I felt no concussion or blow back from this brake and honestly it was a little weird but in a great way being I am so used to feeling it. I have know been to the range three times since getting it and It has performed flawlessly each trip. I do sometimes have to re-tighten it up after 100 or more rounds but I haven't seen a self timing brake that didn't have to be tightened and that might be because I am not getting it tight enough..just using my hands. I have had others shoot my rifle with this brake and they were blown away. Two of the four said they would be putting one on their rifles after only firing a couple rounds. PVA is now my go to when I need a brake! Great job PVA please keep up the good work!
